weather satellite photosvarious noaa apt sats
a few images downloaded from noaa weather satellites. these are low-earth-orbit satellites that transmit a continious stream of image data as they pass overhead. the images are received via radio in the vhf band and converted to images using freeware dsp software. the radio i use is a modified hamtronics wxsat receiver, together with a homebrew 136mhz preamp and a turnstile antenna.
