csxt gofast launchblack rock desert, nevada - 17may04
i was recently invited by my friend jeremy to help the stratofox aerospace tracking and recovery team during the csxt gofast rocket launch. the goal of this launch was to become the first amatuer rocket to reach space, a mere 62 miles above the surface of the earth. csxt was succesful, the rocket reached a height of 77 miles, well above requirements. no pictures of the rocket or launch yet, just of the playa and my truck while we were 10 miles up range spotting trains entering the restricted area. there is video of the launch available via csxt.
